<p>An <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15001">Adult_Mental_Health_Care_Cluster</a> is a type of <a href="/#/9815/dataClass/12080">CARE_CLUSTER</a> for adult <a href="/#/9815/dataClass/12163">PATIENTS</a>.</p><p>An <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15001">Adult_Mental_Health_Care_Cluster</a> is part of a currency developed to support the <a href="null">null</a> for <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15458">Mental Health Services</a>.</p><p><a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15001">Adult Mental Health Care Clusters</a> are 21 groupings of Mental Health <a href="/#/9815/dataClass/12163">PATIENTS</a> based on their characteristics, and are a way of classifying individuals utilising <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15458">Mental Health Services</a> that forms the basis for payment.</p><p>An <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15001">Adult_Mental_Health_Care_Cluster</a> is assigned using a decision tree or algorithm based on the <a href="/#/9815/dataElement/11306">PERSON_SCORE</a> from the <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15002">Adult_Mental_Health_Clustering_Tool</a> undertaken by a <a href="/#/9815/dataClass/12084">CARE_PROFESSIONAL</a> for the <a href="/#/9815/dataClass/12163">PATIENT</a>.</p><p>This is done by first assigning the <a href="/#/9815/dataClass/12163">PATIENT</a> to one of three <a href="null">null</a>, to narrow down the number of possible <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15001">Adult Mental Health Care Clusters</a> which are applicable to the <a href="/#/9815/dataClass/12163">PATIENTS</a> condition. <p>The <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15002">Adult_Mental_Health_Clustering_Tool</a> is a type of <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15157">Clustering_Tool</a> for adult <a href="/#/9815/dataClass/12163">PATIENTS</a> receiving Mental Health care.</p><p>The <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15002">Adult_Mental_Health_Clustering_Tool</a> is a needs assessment tool designed to rate the care needs of a <a href="/#/9815/dataClass/12163">PATIENT</a>, based upon a series of 18 rating scales.</p><p>The first 12 of these rating scales are the same as the <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15339">Health_of_the_Nation_Outcome_Scale_(Working_Age_Adults)</a> rating scales, originally developed by the <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15707">Royal_College_of_Psychiatrists</a>. These 12 rating scales are numbered 1 - 12 under 'Current Ratings' in the <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15002">Adult_Mental_Health_Clustering_Tool</a>.</p><p>One additional 'current' rating and a new section relating to historical ratings have also been added, to form the <a href="/#/9817/dataClass/15002">Adult_Mental_Health_Clustering_Tool</a>.
